Barcelona hoping to extend unbeaten run and equal La Liga record against Leganes

Barcelona take on Leganes on Saturday at the Camp Nou and with it have a chance to equal Real Sociedad’s all-time record of 38 La Liga games unbeaten.

Ernesto Valverde’s side have not been beaten in the league this season, and in fact their only defeat has come in the Copa del Rey against Espanyol.

However, you have to go all the way back to almost exactly a year ago for their last league defeat, when they beaten 2-0 at Malaga, Neymar was sent off and you know the rest.

If they emerged unscathed from Saturday’s visit from Leganes they will equal the record and then have the chance to own it outright next weekend against Valencia.

Can they do it?
