Watford are meeting with Gerard Deulofeu’s agents to get the player’s word for continuing at the English side for next season, according to Mundo Deportivo. Deulofeu has played half a year on loan from Barcelona, and Watford are keen to make the move permanent.
Deulofeu has stated in the past his wish to leave Barça, his childhood club, for good, following a series of loans and buybacks. Once Watford get an agreement from the player, who had previously hinted he was open to staying, the team will phone up Barcelona to discuss the exact terms of the deal.
Barcelona are said to be willing to part with the winger, particularly with his contract set to expire in a year’s time.
