Griezmann transfer saga takes another twist as Atletico Madrid claims are denied

The Antoine Griezmann transfer saga has taken another couple of twists today as it was initially reported he had told friends he was staying at Atletico Madrid.

However, those rumours were promptly shot down by his “entourage” who reckon he’s still mulling it over.

“As of today, we do not know where Antoine will be playing next season. Antoine has still not decided what his new club is. And contrary to everything that has been said in recent months, he has not signed any pre-contract with Barcelona.”

All of which is pretty tiresome and Griezmann himself has said very little apart from to reiterate his future will be decided before the World Cup. Whether he’s actually going to make an announcement is a different matter, but for the sake of our sanity let’s hope so.

The World Cup kicks off in just 10 days so hopefully Griezmann can finally make a decision by then, although it’s tough to say right now whether he’s staying or going.
