Carles Alena has sent a message to fans after Barcelona announced he is due to undergo surgery on a ruptured tendon in his hamstring.
The injury means he is expected to miss all of pre-season and the start of the new campaign which is a real blow to both club and player.
Alena is expected to be called up to the first-team squad next season but first he will go under the knife and then embark on a period of rehabilitation.
However, he sounds in pretty determined mood ahead of his trip to Finland for his surgery.
