Some good news from the Barcelona camp came out today. The club reported that Sergi Samper has returned from injury and is working out with the team in pre-season training. The academy man spent last year on loan at Las Palmas, where he unfortunately suffered a bad injury.
“The best news from this opening session involved Sergi Samper, who has been given the medical all-clear six months after undergoing surgery on torn ankle ligaments, and injury sustained while on loan to UD Las Palmas in a game with Eibar on January 6.”
This is really good news for Samper and Barcelona as a whole. Midfield depth is needed right now and should Samper get back into productive form, he could be a real asset to the Barcelona midfield.
