For the first time ever, FC Barcelona’s women’s team will join the men’s team on a tour on foreign soil. FC Barcelona Femení will train in Beaverton, Oregon, at Nike’s headquarters, and then travel to Los Angeles, California, to play a friendly against SoCal FC, who are in the Women’s Premier Soccer League, the second level in the United States.

Coach Fran Sánchez and his side will play at UCLA’s Drake Stadium. This friendly will be the debut for new signings Stefanie Van der Gragt, Kheira Hamraoui, Pamela Tajonar and Andrea Pereira. The entry will be free, according to Mundo Deportivo.

FC Barcelona are rumored to be interested in setting up a team to play in California in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2019. This friendly could certainly be a part of the operation.
