Sevilla defender Clément Lenglet could be revealed as Barcelona’s first signing this season, according to Albert Rogé from Diario SPORT. That’s because the Frenchman has reporetedly agreed to join Barcelona - however, a deal is yet to be finalized with his club, Sevilla.
But, since there is a release clause in place, the negotiation should not be too difficult. After all, were Sevilla to start playing hardball, Barça could just pay the clause. But, it’s reported that they’d rather come to terms on an agreement with Sevillla, and Sevilla themselves are willing to negotiate.
The deal is expected to be done in the next few days, but of course, there could always be some sort of setback. Still, if it all goes according to plan, Lenglet will become a Barcelona player - the first signing of this summer transfer window.
