The interest is real, but only to a point.

FC Barcelona does want to sign Chelsea winger Willian, but, contrary to suggestions of bids of 60 or 70 million euro, they will not pay more than 35 million. That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who nonetheless insist the Catalans are very keen on the winger.

The 29-year-old has been the subject of rumors of increasing bids from Barça, but so far, nothing concrete has come to pass.

Chelsea’s manager Maurizio Sarri has insisted that Willian is “untouchable,” and Chelsea are not willing to part with him easily.

However, Barcelona are working with his agents as the player himself reportedly is set on making his dream move come true.

Still, given the player’s age, it would be difficult to justify a huge sum. But if Chelsea do not lower their asking price, will Barcelona be warned off? Or will the mouth-watering sums banded about become a reality?
