BARCELONA WIN!!!!!!!!!
FULL-TIME, Barcelona 2-2 Tottenham: The young kids tried really hard, but they showed their inexperience and we’re going to meaningless penalties! Yay!
GOAL, Barcelona 2-2 Tottenham (Nkoudou 75’): And we have a collapse, ladies and gentlemen! The young Barça defense makes another bad mistake, and despite an insane goal-line block by Sergi Palencia Geórges-Kevin Nkoudou still finds a way to score. Are we going to penalties?
GOAL, Barcelona 2-1 Tottenham (Son 73’): Oh, we have a game! Poor mistake by the Barça defense, Jorge Cuenca makes a great block on Christian Eriksen, but Son Heung-Min is there to score against an open net. Spurs are still alive here!
BARCELONA SECOND HALF XI (4-3-3):
Cillessen; Palencia, Mingueza, Cuenca, Cucurella; Collado, Monchu, Puig; Pérez, Ruiz, Malcom
That’s nine Barça B players, Jasper Cillessen who remains in goal and Malcom, who’s the last of the new signings to make his debut tonight.
SECOND HALF KICKOFF! Barcelona 2-0 Tottenham: This is when things get tough in preseason friendlies: a lot of substitutions and not a lot of action. Let’s hope we still get a good game.
HALFTIME, Barcelona 2-0 Tottenham: What an impressive half by the Catalans. A dominant display of possession and creativity, with at least one great individual performance in each part of the team: Semedo has been a monster in defense, Arthur is controlling the hell out of the game in midfield, and Rafinha is wreaking havoc in attack. Substitutions will come soon which will destroy the chemistry and rhythm, but these 45 minutes were truly fantastic for just the first game of preseason.
GOLAZO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Barcelona 2-0 Tottenham (Arthur 29’): WHAT A FREAKING GOAL BY THE DEBUTANT!!! Rafinha gets his second assist of the game, but this is all about Arthur who receives the ball at the edge of the box and fires an INCREDIBLE shot to the top corner. The Brazilian has played a truly brilliant 30 minutes, and he caps it off with a true golazo.
GOAL! Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham (Munir 15’): BARÇA SCORE THEIR FIRST GOAL OF THE NEW SEASON! A really nice high pressing earns a throw in, the ball finds Sergi Roberto who plays a gorgeous cross to Rafinha, who then gives Munir El-Haddadi a tap-in. It’s a great start by Barça and a deserved lead.
KICKOFF! Barcelona 0-0 Tottenham: WE BACK, BABY!!!!! VISCA EL BARÇA!
