FULL-TIME, Uruguay 0-2 France: A very competitive football match ended with the favorites winning, which is pretty much what we expected from this. France weren’t great, but Uruguay deserve a lot of credit for that thanks to their commitment to defending. The French are moving on and are now facing Brazil or Belgium in what should be a fantastic semi-final.

GOAL! Uruguay 0-2 FRANCE (Griezmann + Muslera 61’): WHAT A HOWLER! Right after Uruguay make changes to chase an equalizer, Antoine Griezmann takes a weak shot from distance, but Fernando Muslera fails to punch the ball out and actually punches it into his own net. Truly incredible moment, and France are now very close to the semi-final.

SECOND HALF KICKOFF! Uruguay 0-1 France: This second half will be loads of fun! Can Suárez bring his team back? Can Umtiti stop Suárez? Will Dembélé come on and kill the game? Let’s find out!

HALFTIME, Uruguay 0-1 France: Uruguay frustrated the heck out of France in the first half, and it worked for 40 minutes. Then Varane came up with a goal out of nowhere, and Hugo Lloris made a truly spectacular save just before halftime to keep the French in front. Second half should be fun with Uruguay having to attack more and giving Kylian Mbappé and his friends more space.

GOAL! Uruguay 0-1 FRANCE (Varane 40’): The French take the lead! Tolisso wins a free-kick which is taken by Antoine Griezmann, who plays a perfect ball to Raphaël Varane and the defender heads home the opener!

KICKOFF! Uruguay 0-0 France: This will be a fantastic World Cup game! All the best, Luis and Sammy!
