Moriba Kourouma, commonly known as Ilaix, got a brilliant hat-trick as Barcelona’s Juvenil B team defeated their Real Madrid counterparts 5-0. The 15-year-old was the star of the show in a match that was a part of a tournament simply called The Cup, held in Sant Pol de Mar.
Diego López actually got the party started for the blaugrana with a brace inside 20 minutes, but it was Ilaix who grabbed the headlines, first with a thundering shot from outside the box, then with a deadly finish inside the box, and then finally, with an audacious goal straight from kick-off.
Barcelona had gone up 4-0 at half-time, and had the right to kick off the second half. Ilaix took the pass from kick-off, took a touch, and then thundered the ball - just out of the reach of the keeper, off the crossbar and in.
Just watch the highlights:
The youngster, originally from Guinea-Bissau, is said to be leaving La Masia soon, however. Manchester City are said to have gotten a deal to get him next year, when he turns 16.
