The next Barcelona match is upon us! Following the first international break of the new season, the La Liga champions and leaders face their first proper test in the league, with a historically tough game away to Real Sociedad at the Anoeta Stadium.

Ernesto Valverde has called up 18 players to be in uniform for the match, and here they are:

Goalkeepers: 1. Marc-André ter Stegen, 13. Jasper Cillessen

Defenders: 2. Nélson Semedo, 3. Gerard Piqué, 15. Clément Lenglet, 18. Jordi Alba, 23. Samuel Umtiti, 24. Thomas Vermaelen

Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 5. Sergio Busquets, 7. Philippe Coutinho, 12. Rafinha, 20. Sergi Roberto, 22. Arturo Vidal

Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 11. Ousmane Dembélé, 19. Munir

Valverde makes one notable change to the matchday squads from the first month of the season, with Rafinha coming in for Arthur. The rest is pretty much what we expect, with the exception of the injured Malcom, Denis Suarez and Sergi Samper. Carles Aleñá is healthy, but still misses out per the manager’s choice.

Predicted starting XI (4-3-3):

Ter Stegen; Roberto, Piqué, Umtiti, Alba; Rakitic, Busquets, Coutinho; Messi, Suárez, Dembélé

The match kicks off at 4.15pm CET (Barcelona), 3.15pm BST/WAT (UK & Nigeria), 10.15am ET, 7.15am PT (USA), 7.45pm IST (India), and you can join us to follow and comment all the action.
