This summer, Paul Pogba, Aaron Ramsey, and Djibril Sidibé were all offered to Barcelona - but the Catalans refused them, according to Xavi Campos speaking on TV3.
Pogba had been the subject of intense transfer speculation after a reported falling out with his Manchester United coach, José Mourinho. Campos has confirmed stories that his agent, Mino Raiola, had offered him to go to Barça. But he goes on to say that Barcelona actually rejected him.
It’s possible that Barcelona knew they couldn’t afford him. Pogba has been rumored to be a dream target for the board.
With Ramsey, it’s a similar story. His agents came to Barcelona to offer him, but they were rejected. There was some speculation that Arsenal would offer him as part of an exchange for Ousmane Dembélé. That deal never came to fruition, of course.
And the same, it is said, is the case for Sidibé, who plays as a right-back for AS Monaco: he was offered to Barcelona, but rejected by the club.
