Moussa Wagué could not make his senior team debut in the first half of the season due to a bureaucratic mix-up, but now the Senegalese right-back is free to play with FC Barcelona. The fullback has been impressing with Barcelona B and is currently training with the first team.

Mundo Deportivo is calling him “the other winter reinforcement after Jeison Murillo” as Wagué can make his debut starting this weekend against Getafe.

Wagué played with Senegal in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where he scored a goal, a rarity for players in Segunda B to have in their resume. Known for his speed, Wagué has also impressed many with his quality in attack and defense. The question remains as to whether Ernesto Valverde will trust him to make the rather large jump from Segunda B to facing La Liga opponents.
