Éric Abidal did not tip his hand either way when asked about the futures of two players struggling for minutes, Denis Suárez or Malcom.
“You never know,” the technical secretary said speaking at the presentation of new signing Kevin-Prince Boateng. “We are always working internally and there are decisions that the manager will take. We are happy with the squad but there are always possibilities. The players that have less minutes could stay, or they could leave. We will evaluate every scenario.”
It’s understood that Denis has an offer from Arsenal that is very close to being completed, and Malcom has several options, including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Guangzhou Evergrande.
Barcelona bought Malcom this summer, while Denis has been linked with the club in one way or another since 2013, when he was bought for the B team.
