Arsenal ‘close’ to signing Barcelona star Denis Suarez | Gianluca Di Marzio

Denis Suarez is closing in on a move to Arsenal and could leave Barcelona in January. The midfielder is willing to leave and will link up again with Unai Emery at the Emirates. There are other clubs interested, but the Gunners are in pole position to land the 24-year-old.

Barcelona’s Busquets returns to training and could face Getafe | Marca

Sergio Busquets returned to Barcelona training on Saturday and is in contention to face Getafe on Sunday. The midfielder had been suffering from illness but is fit enough to make the travelling squad.

Valverde: This season will determine whether I remain at Barcelona | Marca

Ernesto Valverde has been talking about his future at Barcelona. He said: “I have a contract with the club and it is true that the contract was for two years plus one. We will decide whether or not I will continue depending on how the season goes. If things go well and everyone is happy there will be another year but if you don’t win a price will be put on my head. We’ll see how it goes, but in principle, I have a contract with the club.”
