FULL-TIME, Getafe 1-2 Barcelona: The second half was owned by Getafe and Ter Stegen needed to come up big time and time again, but we survived. Well done, boys. Winning start to the year and five points clear at the top of the table.

HALFTIME, Getafe 1-2 Barcelona: This game has been ugly at times, with plenty of refereeing mistakes that VAR for some reason isn’t allowed to correct. But we’ve also seen a crazy great goal, and Barça are ahead.
GOAL, Getafe 1-2 Barcelona (Mata 43’): Getafe are back in it! Ángel controls a cross from the left and finds Jaime Mata for an easy tap-in.
GOLAZOOOO!!!!! Getafe 0-2 Barcelona (Suárez 39’): BARÇA DOUBLE THE LEAD WITH AN AMAZING GOAL!!!!!! After a free kick is cleared at the edge of the box, Luis Suárez takes it first time on the volley and fires home the second!!! What a goal!!!
GOAL!!!!! Getafe 0-1 Barcelona (Messi 20’): BARÇA TAKE THE LEAD!!! In the first prolonged period of possession for the visitors, Arthur tries a pass over the top to Luis Suárez, the ball is deflected and Lionel Messi is quicker than everybody else, and despite having his shot saved he still scores the rebound. This has been an ugly game, but Barça are ahead!

WELCOME BACK, BARÇA!!!!!! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!! The holidays are nice and all, but there is nothing better than watching Barcelona, and after two long weeks we finally get to do it again. And the first game back is a tough one as the La Liga leaders face Getafe on the road. They have a really good defense and haven’t lost since November. Barça will need to play really well to win, and you can follow along in the first LIVE BLOG of the new year!!!
