Real Betis are looking to land Carles Aleñá in the upcoming winter transfer window as the Barcelona midfielder has been without minutes, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Betis have looked at Aleñá in the past and are willing to make a deal for him in order to have a substitute for William Carvalho, who recently had to undergo surgery and will be a long-term miss.

The Barcelona academy player is said to want to be at Camp Nou in the long term, but could be persuaded to go elsewhere on loan as he has had trouble having enough playing time this season.

Betis have other options besides him, with Guido Rodríguez (Club América), Iván Marcone (Boca Juniors), Gustavo Cuéllar (Al Halil) and Emre Can (Juventus) said to also be on the list.

Barça also have to think about another potential midfield departure developing as well: that of Ivan Rakitić.
