Barcelona confirmed on Tuesday that Samuel Umtiti will miss the Champions League trip to Slavia Prague after picking up a bruised knee in training.

The Frenchman made his first appearance of the season on Saturday in the 3-0 win over Eibar but will now sit out another game with Clement Lenglet set to partner Gerard Pique.

Sergi Roberto, who was forced off with a knee injury against Eibar, is also absent from the trip, but Barca otherwise have a fully fit squad for the game in the Czech Republic.

“In the final part of the session on Tuesday at the Ciutat Esportiva Samuel Umtiti picked up a bruised knee and so the French central defender misses the trip to take on Slavia Prague.

“Sergio Roberto also misses out as he is still recovering himself from a knee injury picked up in the win at the weekend against Eibar in La Liga.”
