Gerard Piqué gives out phone number on social media, takes videocalls from random fans

Gerard Piqué bewildered many by sharing his phone number publicly on Instagram yesterday, and now video has surfaced of the Barcelona defender taking video calls from amazed fans.

Piqué is promoting the Davis Cup, a tennis tournament his company is involved in. He gave some fans free tickets to attend.

The fans in the video are amazed to find it is actually him on the call, with many wondering if he’s gone mad.

“You know I sometimes like to cause a stir,” the defender answers them.

“It’s Piqué I swear to God!” an excited fan can be heard telling a friend.

“You’re a true great,” another says.

“I love you,” one chimes in.

“Send my greetings to Shakira, she’s very cute,” a woman can be heard last of all.

“I’ll send it along,” Piqué smiles back.
