Former Barcelona midfielder Oscar Garcia will return to the Camp Nou on Saturday with Celta Vig0. The 46-year-old has replaced Fran Escriba at Balaidos and faces a tough test in his first match.
Former Argentina international Claudio Borghi has said that River Plate boss Marcelo Gallardo will replace Ernesto Valverde as Barcelona boss next month. He said: “Gallardo will be installed as Barcelona coach in December. At the moment he is one of the best coaches in the world. Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has praised the work of La Masia as the academy celebrates its 40th birthday in 2019. He said: “[The academy] is recognised worldwide for its identity. It represents loyalty to our history and hope for the future. I am very proud that the four captains of the first team were raised in La Masia. I ask everyone who is here to continue working.”
Barcelona Under-19 winger Konrad de le Fuente has been praised by Patrick Kluivert. The Dutchman said: “I think Konrad is a very bright player. He has a very good one-on-one action. He needs to score more, but as I say that in the last three games he has scored four goals, so that’s a good thing. I think when he continues like this next year, he will be for sure in the Barça B team.”
Denis Suarez has been talking about his time at Barcelona ahead of Saturday’s match against his former club at the Camp Nou. The Celta midfielder says it will be a “special” game for him and described his time at the club as “bittersweet.”
