The next Barcelona match is upon us! The Blaugrana return to action in La Liga with a crucial trip to the Wanda Metropolitano to face Atlético Madrid, and Ernesto Valverde has called up the following 18 players for the big game:

Goalkeepers: 1. Ter Stegen, 13. Neto

Defenders: 3. Gerard Piqué, 15. Clément Lenglet, 16. Moussa Wagué, 23. Samuel Umtiti, 24. Junior Firpo

Midfielders: 4. Ivan Rakitic, 8. Arthur, 19. Carles Aleñá, 20. Sergi Roberto, 21. Frenkie De Jong, 22. Arturo Vidal

Forwards: 9. Luis Suárez, 10. Lionel Messi, 17. Antoine Griezmann, 27. Carles Pérez, 31. Ansu Fati

Valverde had to pick a squad without four key players for this one: Nélson Semedo (calf), Jordi Alba (hamstring) and Ousmane Dembélé (hamstring) miss out through injury, while Sergio Busquets is out through suspension. There is finally a place for Carles Aleñá in the squad, but Jean-Clair Todibo is left out and did not make the trip.

Predicted starting XI (4-3-3):

Ter Stegen; Roberto, Piqué, Lenglet, Firpo; Rakitic, De Jong, Arthur; Messi, Suárez, Griezmann
