Barcelona are back in action on Saturday and face a tricky trip to Anoeta to take on Real Sociedad.

Ernesto Valverde should have a fresh squad after making major changes to his team for Tuesday’s Champions League win over Inter Milan.

However, he does still have a few injuries to contend with and may also have one eye on Wednesday’s Clasico against Real Madrid.

Let’s look at how the champions could line up.

Nelson Semedo and Jordi Alba are closing in on a return to fitness and returned to training in the week, but it’s not clear if they will be ready to go straight back into the team.

If they do miss out then Valverde needs to choose between Moussa Wague and Sergi Roberto at right-back, while Junior Firpo should continue on the other flank.

In central defence Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet, Samuel Umtiti and Jean-Clair Todibo are all fit and fighting for the two spots in the heart of the defence.

Ivan Rakitic captained Barcelona against Inter Milan and will be hoping he can keep his place in the team after starting the last four matches in a row.

Frenkie de Jong and Sergio Busquets should go back into the starting XI after getting a bit of a rest in midweek which means Arturo Vidal could drop to the bench.

Arthur is still out injured so Carles Alena will be hoping for some rare La Liga minutes after appearing as a substitute against Real Mallorca and shining from the start against Inter.

Barcelona youngsters Ansu Fati and Carles Perez were on target against Inter on a good night for the kids but may drop back down to the bench.

Lionel Messi was given a rare night off in midweek after his hat-trick heroics against Real Mallorca but should return in attack with Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann.

Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Roberto, Pique, Lenglet, Junior; Rakitic, Busquets, De Jong; Messi, Suarez, Griezmann.
