Barcelona will have to spend big if they are to land Ferland Mendy from Lyon, according to the latest reports.
Paris United reckon Lyon are open to selling Mendy providing they receive a fee in the region of €35m-40m.
Barcelona are one of several clubs who have been linked with the 23-year-old, as they seek a back-up to Jordi Alba at left-back.
Ernesto Valverde’s side will get the chance to see Mendy up close in the last 16 of the Champions League, with the first leg in France next Wednesday.
Mendy’s been a virtual ever-present for Lyon this season. He’s started 21 of 24 Ligue 1 games and featured in all their Champions League matches.
Lyon were beaten 1-0 by Nice on Sunday but have otherwise been in great form in 2019, and they inflicted a first league defeat of the season on PSG at the start of the month.
