Lionel Messi scored his 30th goal of the season against Real Valladolid on Saturday to ensure he’s now hit the landmark in each of the last 11 seasons,

The Barcelona captain netted from the penalty spot just before half-time after Gerard Pique had gone down in the box.

It’s yet another extraordinary statistic from Messi who has been keeping the stats people busy all season long.

He’s now just 15 goals behind last season’s tally of 45 with plenty of games still left to play, as Barcelona remain in contention in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
