Riqui Puig spoke about how much he likes playing for the Barcelona first team after featuring for all 90 minutes against Girona in the Supercopa de Catalunya on Wednesday.
Barcelona were beaten by a second half Cristhian Stuani penalty, but it was a useful night for Ernesto Valverde who saw a host of youngsters feature in the game.
Puig offered his view of the match after the game and also played down injury fears after he was hacked down late on.
“The first half was even, we both had the ball. We had our chances in the second half but in the end they took it,” he said.
“It’s good for me to play with the first team when I can and get match rhythm competing against top flight players like today.
“Tomorrow we’ll do tests but I think that it’s just a knock.”
