The Chilean was suspended in Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Atlético Madrid but he’s back in contention and could be used in place of either Arthur in midfield, or in place of Philippe Coutinho if Ernesto Valverde opts for a 4-4-2 formation.
Mundo Deportivo writes that Vidal could be preferred to Arthur because he adds power and defensive ability to the midfield. They also think that Nélson Semedo could start ahead of Sergi Roberto at right-back, and that Roberto could be deployed as a midfielder.
RAC1 reported that Valverde may sacrifice Coutinho and go with a four-man midfield. If that comes to pass then the favorite would be Vidal, although Roberto may also prove an option.
