We’ve heard very little from Barcelona’s players since Tuesday’s collapse against Liverpool that saw them dumped out of the Champions League.

However, Jordi Alba has taken to Instagram with a message in response to his club’s exit from Europe’s top competition.

He wrote: “Errors are part of life. They make you feel very bad. The important thing is how you manage it, how you react. Always believe in work, in team-mates, in the team. Always work to be better.”

Alba was one of the biggest culpits at Anfield as Barcelona lost 4-0. The left-back made a poor error for the first goal and put in an uncharacteristically awful display.

Barcelona play for the first time after the defeat on Sunday against Getafe, and it will be interesting to see the response from the players and Ernesto Valverde to their midweek humbling.
