FC Barcelona are looking to sign Antoine Griezmann, who has already announced he will leave Atlético Madrid this summer. Barça are the favorites to land the French forward, but one main competitor has been identified: Paris Saint-Germain.
L’Equipe reports that his sister and agent met with the Parisian club to discuss a possible transfer. Mundo Deportivo also reports that PSG are in for Griezmann, with a battle between the two clubs on the horizon.
However both sources consider Barcelona in pole position. Griezmann was ready to join Barcelona last summer, but he rebuffed the Catalans at the last second.
Still, it seems the club is willing to forgive him, with club president Josep Maria Bartomeu instrumental in the decision. But will PSG come out on top? They may be able to offer more money, as well as a return to his homeland. But staying in La Liga and playing with Lionel Messi can’t be bad, right?
