FC Barcelona has agreed to play two matches as part of the next preseason in the United States, according to Mundo Deportivo. The opponent for both games will be Napoli.
The matches are scheduled for August 7th and 11th, one in Florida and one in Michigan. The first game will take place in Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, where the Catalans beat Real Madrid 3-2 in 2017. The other will take place at the University of Michigan, famous for hosting a record crowd for a football match in the US, when 109,318 saw Real Madrid take on Manchester United in 2014.
Barcelona are looking to take advantage of the change in format to the Spanish Supercup, which will take place in January in Saudi Arabia, to maximize preseason revenue during the summer.
