Neymar has turned down Paris Saint-Germain’s plans for a renewal, intensifying rumors that the Brazilian superstar is looking for a way out, according to Le10Sport.
For several months, PSG has been “tirelessly” trying to extend the deal with Neymar’s entourage, but the Brazilian has put up a brick wall, according to the report. PSG wanted to open up discussions to prevent the forward from leaving, and while at first Neymar’s representatives were listening, the negotiations now have “ended.”
PSG were going to offer Neymar an additional year on his contract, which is already earning him the highest salary ever paid by the Parisians. At the moment it seems there is no reason to think Neymar will agree to that deal.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have been mentioned as possible landing spots for Neymar, but either case seems remote for the time being. However, this development has certainly edged the Brazilian closer to an exit, if not this year, then soon.
