Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has revealed he lost three kilograms in weight after undergoing knee surgery ahead of the Copa America.

The 32-year-old missed the end of Barcelona’s season after going under the knife to fix a knee problem but has returned to fitness in time for Uruguay’s Copa campaign.

Suarez scored in his team’s opening win over 4-0 over Ecuador and explained after the match how he’s lost weight.

“I lost three kilograms. We did all kinds of exercises to regain mobility,” he said.

”I worked with the first team nutritionist we have [at Barcelona]. I have shed some kilos, and now I feel lighter.”
