Is FC Barcelona going full FIFA Career Mode?

A new article on Mundo Deportivo argues that signing Neymar would not rule out also getting Antoine Griezmann. The purchase of two of the world’s best forwards in one window, in addition to already having Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez seems crazy. But it could be possible.

Griezmann’s signing is less complicated because he has a release clause, whereas Neymar has none. Therefore, if Barça do want the Frenchman, the negotiations with Atlético Madrid are more straightforward.

In an article called “Griezmann and Neymar, together,” Santi Nolla writes:

“In modern football, with long calendars and maximum demands, it’s good to have competitive squads in which you can make a lot of alterations to the starting lineup, and that the great players have footballers of similar quality capable of substituting them without the team noticing a drop.”

Nolla mentions a possible double pivot with Sergio Busquets and Frenkie de Jong as a platform for a team full of offensive firepower.
