Barcelona announced on Friday that they will take on Premier League side Arsenal in the annual Joan Gamper Trophy on August 4 at the Camp Nou.
The friendly match will form part of the club’s pre-season fixtures with the new La Liga campaign scheduled to kick off on August 18.
Barcelona look set for a busy pre-season. They will head to Japan for games against Chelsea (on July 23) and Vissel Kobe (July 27) in the first part of their pre-season plans before taking on Arsenal.
The Spanish champions will then jet off to the USA for two games against Napoli on August 7 in Miami and August 10 in Ann Arbor.
Arsenal are due to spend their pre-season in America competing in the International Champions Cup. Their first Premier League game of the season is away at Newcastle United on August 11.
