Qatar coach Felix Sanchez has warned Argentina his team are not at the Copa America “to take photos” of Lionel Messi ahead of their crunch game on Sunday.
Lionel Scaloni’s team are without a victory at the tournament after two games but can progress if they beat Qatar in their Group B decider.
Sanchez’s side drew 2-2 with Paraguay in their opener and then lost narrowly to Colombia, but their boss is hoping to knock out Argentina on Sunday.
“It’s true we are not very well known in South America but we have super-professional players and we’ve come to compete, not to take photos with Messi,” he said.
“They’re the favourites and are obliged to win. We’ll try to compete against a great team who have the best player in the world. We have a chance to qualify and that’s what’s exciting, not the fact we could knock out a monster like Argentina.”

Messi opened his account in Argentina’s 1-1 draw against Paraguay last time out and said after the match his team would be “playing for our lives” against Qatar.
