Lionel Messi has requested the return of Neymar to Barcelona, but Paris Saint-Germain have put up a “wall” instead, according to RMC Sport.

The Barcelona board considered the deal far-fetched to begin with, but spurred by their star’s suggestion, have asked about the Brazilian’s availability, according to the report. But PSG firmly rebuffed the advance, insisting Neymar was happy in Paris and would not be going anywhere.

In addition, the report states that Neymar is considered a “plan B” option if Antoine Griezmann does not come. But this plan B seems off the table at the moment.
