Frenkie de Jong has been saying all the right things since completing his move from Ajax to Barcelona this week.
The midfielder has given an interview to the club’s TV channel and talked about exactly how he wants to play with his new team at the Camp Nou.
“I like to play attacking football, to play attractive [football] for the people. I think the people who are coming to the stadium need to enjoy the game. I think that’s the philosophy of Johan Cruyff as well.
“Barcelona has a great history of midfielders, the club play the perfect game for midfielders. They have a lot of the ball, control it, control the game. I believe that, for me, it is the perfect place to fit in.”

We should hopefully see De Jong make his Barcelona debut later this month when the club gear up for the new campaign with some pre-season friendlies.
Their first fixtures will be in Japan later this month when they take on Chelsea and Andres Iniesta’s Vissel Kobe side.
