Xavi won his first title as coach of Al Sadd on Saturday, beating Al Duhail 1-0 to lift the Qatar Super Cup.

The Barcelona legend was only appointed manager of the club in May but has got off to a fine start with a trophy already in the cabinet.

Xavi has won two and drawn one of his three matches in charge of Al Sadd, all three games have come against domestic rivals Al Duhail coached by Rui Faria.

The results have seen the club win the Super Cup, qualify for the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League and book their place at the 2019 Club World Cup.

The season proper kicks off on Wednesday and there will be plenty of interest in how Xavi fares in his first full season in management.

The former midfielder has made it clear he wants to manage Barcelona at some point in the future, and it seems inevitable we’ll see him in the dugout in the future.
