Lionel Messi’s goal against Real Betis nominated for 2019 FIFA Puskás Award

Lionel Messi has been nominated for the FIFA Puskás Award for his stunning strike against Real Betis in Barcelona’s 4-1 win in back in March.

The Barcelona captain scored with an exquisite chip from the edge of the box, and his goal was so good it was even applauded by the Betis fans.

The Argentine is now in the frame to land the Puskas Award which is given to the best goal and is voted for by supporters.

Here’s a look at all the contenders.

Fans can vote for their favourite here until September 1. A FIFA panel will when choose the winner from the three goals that have received the most votes. The winner will be revealed at the 2019 FIFA Best Awards.
