The first international break of the season is upon us already which might not be such a bad thing given Barcelona’s injury problems and their disappointing start to the new campaign.
Most of Barcelona’s squad will be away with their national teams, so let’s have a look at how you can watch the players in action over the next two weeks.
Spain

Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets are the only two Barcelona players in the Spain squad for their two Euro 2020 qualifiers. Roberto Moreno’s side play Romania on Thursday and then take on the Faroe Islands on Sunday.
Meanwhile, youngsters Carles Alena, Abel Ruiz, Carles Pérez, Jorge Cuenca and Iñaki Peña are all in the Spain Under-21 squad.
The team play Kazakhstan on Friday and Montenegro on Tuesday in qualifying for the U21 European Championship.
France

Antoine Griezmann, Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti have all been called up for national duty with the reigning world champions. Umtiti was a late addition to the squad after Aymeric Laporte’s injury and seems to have fallen behind Lenglet in the pecking order for both club and country now.
Les Bleus play Albania on Saturday and then take on Andorra on Tuesday. Both games take place in Paris at the Stade de France.
Netherlands

Barcelona new boy Frenkie de Jong will be back with the Netherlands team for games against Germany and Estonia in Euro 2020 qualifying. The first game sees De Jong come up against team-mate Marc-Andre ter Stegen in Hamburg on Friday. The Dutch team then head to Tallin for their second game on Monday and have work to do if they are to qualify from Group C.
Brazil

Arthur is back on international duty after helping Brazil win the Copa America over the summer. Tite’s men are in the United States for friendlies against Colombia on Friday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida. The Selecao then head to Los Angeles for another friendly with Peru on Tuesday.
Germany

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is back for Germany after knee trouble for their Euro 2020 games against the Netherlands (Friday) and Northern Ireland (on Monday). The stopper may have to make do with a place on the bench again with Manuel Neuer expected to continue between the sticks for Joachim Low’s side.
Portugal

Nations League winners Portugal have called up Nelson Semedo for their away games against Serbia on Saturday and Lithuania on Tuesday. Portugal have started their campaign with two draws and are down in fourth in Group B.
Croatia

Ivan Rakitic will be hoping for some game time with Croatia after starting the season on the bench for Barcelona. The World Cup finalists are in Slovakia on Friday and then make the trip to Azerbaijan for their second game on Monday. Rakitic is yet to start for Barcelona this season but it would be a surprise if he was not in Croatia’s starting XI.
