Barcelona phenom Ansu Fati has had a pretty wild season thus far. The 16-year-old has already played his first few senior team games for Barcelona at impressive scale. This week he received some more good news regarding his career at the national level.
It was determined that Fati can play for Spain’s national team. Despite being born in Guinea-Bissau, Fati has been living in Spain for some time. He’s been waiting on pins and needles for the Spanish government to get his nationalisation documentation completed.
This week, the news was secured that he could play for the Spanish national team, as soon as October for the U-17 World Cup if he pleases. The process took more than three months to complete, and until he’s ready for the senior level, it remains to be seen how much he’ll play.
