FULL-TIME, Barcelona 2-1 Villarreal: A lot of unnecessary suffering in the second half, but Barça have got the win. Which doesn’t solve any of the problems, and it continues to expose all of this team’s weaknesses in attack and defense. So much to improve, and Ernesto Valverde is not the coach to do it.

SECOND HALF

KICKOFF! Barcelona 2-1 Villarreal: Ousmane Dembélé has come on for Messi at halftime. Messi received treatment for a groin injury in the first half, so maybe it’s precaution so it doesn’t get worse.

FIRST HALF

HALFTIME, Barcelona 2-1 Villarreal: Barça scored two early goals, did nothing afterwards and conceded right before halftime. Not a great half.

GOAL, Barcelona 2-1 Villarreal (Cazorla 44’): Santi Cazorla is allowed to run free in midfield and scores a beautiful goal from distance. Villarreal are back in the game.

GOAL! Barcelona 2-0 Villarreal (Arthur 15’): WHAT A GOAL!!! Arthur finds himself in space and fires a 30-yard ROCKET right to the top corner!

GOAL! Barcelona 1-0 Villarreal (Griezmann 6’): Barça take the lead! Lionel Messi takes a smart corner to the near post and Antoine Griezmann heads it home! Strong start for the home team.

KICKOFF! Barcelona 0-0 Villarreal: Let’s do this, guys. Let’s play well and win this thing. Please.

WELCOME TO CAMP NOU!!! The Greatest Stadium on Earth is the site of a must-win match for Barcelona, who need some redemption after the terrible loss to Granada, but to return to winning ways they must figure out how to beat Villarreal, who are unbeaten in the last three and have already taken a point from Real Madrid this season. The Yellow Submarine is always really tough against Barça, so this should be a big test for the Blaugrana. And you are welcome to join us to follow and comment all the action! LET’S LIVE BLOG!

Those who do it will be warned, and those who post links will be instantly banned. Finally, be nice to each other. This is a Barcelona community and we don’t need to offend one another.
