Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o may just have announced his retirement from football.
The 38-year-old has posted an enigmatic message on Instagram that looks very much like a goodbye to the game. He wrote: “The End. Towards a new challenge. Thank you all, big love.”
The former Cameroon international enjoyed a glittering career and won pretty much every prize available in club football.
He was part of Barcelona’s treble-winning team and ended up claiming three La Liga titles and two Champions League crowns during his time at the club.

Eto’o left Barcelona and went on to win the treble with Inter, before playing for a host of teams including Chelsea, Everton and Sampdoria.
The striker is also Cameroon’s all-time top goalscorer with 56 goals in 118 appearances and the top goalscorer in AFCON history.
Good luck for the future Samuel Eto’o!
