Luis Suarez could be set for more time on the sidelines with a report suggesting he may have to go under the knife to fix another knee problem.

Sport have an exclusive on Friday that reckons the Uruguay international will have his right knee examined by Dr Roman Cugat over the weekend.

Suarez has been playing with a niggle in his knee for a few weeks now and “everything indicates” more surgery is needed to cure the problem.

If Dr Cugat decides an operation is needed it’s likely to happen soon so that Barca can get Suarez back fit and firing for the business end of the season.

Apparently Suarez has not been fully fit for a while now and surgery could rule him out for “several weeks.”

The report also reckons the Uruguayan needed an injection to play against Atletico Madrid on Thursday, pretty baffling really considering it was just a glorified friendly.
