Barcelona B confirmed on Monday that they have signed striker Rey Manaj from Albacete for an initial fee of €700,000.
The 22-year-old completed his medical on Friday and has since signed a contract that runs until June 2023 and contains a release clause of €50 million.
He takes the No. 22 shirt and will now join up with Francisco Javier García Pimienta’s side who are enjoying a decent season and are currently in the play-off places.
Manaj is an Albania international who began his senior career in Italy with Cremonese before signing for Inter Milan in 2015.
The striker went out on loan at Pescara, Pisa and Granada during his time with the Nerazzurri and then joined Albacete in 2018.
Manaj managed eight goals in 29 appearances for Albacete in the Second Division A and will now be hoping to impress with Barca B.
