Barcelona begin their Copa del Rey campaign on Wednesday with a trip to Segunda División B side Ibiza. The visitors will be massive favourites to progress, while Ibiza will be hoping to pull off a massive cup shock.

The game is just Setien’s second in charge of Barca, and he made it clear in his pre-match press conference that this is a competition he wants to win. The boss has left Gerard Pique, Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets out of his squad so expect a fair bit of rotation.

It’s also worth noting that the game is scheduled to take place amidst Storm Gloria, which is currently battering Spain, and on an artificial pitch. Not perfect conditions by any means and the hosts will be hoping it’s something of a leveller.

UD Ibiza are on a pretty good run of form and have won their last four games on the bounce. Even so, Barcelona should have more than enough quality to come through this test and book their place safely in the next round of the competition.

POSSIBLE LINEUPS

UD Ibiza: Germán; Morillas, Alves, Gonzalo, Aguilera; Lara, Nunez, Mateo; Caballe, Jareno, Kike.

Barelona: Neto; Semedo, Chumi, Lenglet, Junior; Arthur, De Jong, Puig; Perez, Griezmann, Ansu.

PREDICTION

Barcelona should win this one comfortably but will have to overcome the weather and an artificial pitch as well as in-form opposition. Result: 2-0 Barça.
