Spurs will be ready to ask for 160 million euros for the Englishman come next summer, and Barcelona’s technical staff like the player. However, signing the striker has not as of yet been a priority for Barça, it is reported.
It’s all about the cost of building the new stadium. Spurs need to recoup some money after spending so much on construction. But the player is injured and weeks away from recovering, meaning there’s essentially no chance that he moves in this transfer window.
It’s also true that Barcelona do not at the moment have the cash to make such a big outlay, and will need to wait until the summer to make a signing of that size.
