Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman was a pretty happy man after overseeing a 2-0 win over Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Goals from Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi saw the visitors run out comfortable winners and make it maximum points from their first two games.

Koeman offered his verdict on his team after the match and felt the three points were fully deserved.

“I think we have been superior, especially with our game, we could always reach the free man, we have even had depth to score more goals. It was a great victory and I am very happy, it was our most complete match,” he said.

“The only thing we lacked was to sentence the game before. We have had very clear chances to score goals, but I also have to say in the case of Antoine he had bad luck.

“The team has shown a lot of faith, confidence and a lot of personality against a strong team from Europe. It is the whole team that has stood out in this game.”

The Barca boss made plenty of changes to his team bringing Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele, Miralem Pjanic, Ronald Araujo and Sergi Roberto back into the team.

It was a good night for the visitors with the only real sour point being Araujo going off with an injury at half-time. Frenkie de Jong took his place in defence for the second half, and Koeman also took time to praise the Dutchman for his display after the match.
