Barcelona confirmed on Friday that Colombian right-back Andrés Solano has signed for the club on a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid.

The 22-year-old signed his contract and then went straight out on to the training ground to start work with his new team-mates.

Here’s Barcelona’s official statement.

FC Barcelona has settled an agreement with Atlético Madrid for the loan of Andrés Solano to Barça B. The young right back from Colombia will be at the club until 30 June 2021 with the option to buy.

“He was at the Estadi Johan Cruyff to put pen to paper in the company of the director responsible for Barça B, Xavier Vilajoana, and then went straight to training with his new team.”
