Spain boss Luis Enrique has called for calm around Ansu Fati after the 17-year-old’s spectacular start to the season.
Fati has netted three times in his first three games for Barcelona and has attracted plenty of praise for his goalscoring exploits.
The teenager is now with the Spain squad for games against Portugal, Switzerland, and Ukraine and Enrique is trying to calm expectations around the Barca starlet.
“Ansu Fati needs patience, tranquility and a calm climate that we will try to give him. To keep playing for the national team you need to keep running in defense. We would do him a disservice if we wanted him to solve each game for us. He’s still a teenager.”
Fati scored his first international goal last time out with the national side, becoming Spain’s youngest goalscorer in the process, and will be hoping to keep his place in the team.
